Cute general store stocked some lovely gourmet food, wine, cheese to souvenir. Staff were friendly as well. We had some ice coffee and it was great.
Cool general store and cafe, with all your simple needs, accompanied by some simple toasties and sandwiches.

If you are missing warmth and a sense of community in your local cafe, then you are missing out on East Melbourne General Store. Aside from lunch style food, coffee and cakes, you can supplement your weekly shop with fine groceries and produce You can pick up a quirky gift or two. East Melbourne General Store store reminds me of that one store in a country town that has a little bit of everything. It's well worth a visit. Dog friendly too!
Quaint little general store tuck in the Melbourne East neighbourhood served high-quality coffee. Finally, I got to come here. It's particularly special, cozy, sitting in the verandah enjoying the springtime change of colours of trees around the neighbourhood, plus a happy waitress humming song while serving us coffee. Love this place.
Gorgeous little spot! Delicious coffee (I had one with breakfast and one to go!). Great prices and convenience items as well as gifts and basically everything an olde-style general store/‘mercantile’ might have Loved their book collections. A beautiful peaceful spot for a light breakfast.
Adorable and quirky little grocery store + cafe perfect for having a coffee while you study, buying some local wine, and admiring the old world charm of East Melbourne. Service is lovely and the food and drinks have a cozy feel!
I only come here for an appointment and sometimes when I’m super early I come here. The coffee m is great and the outdoor seating area is lovely with all the plants and books. Even a couch. I like this place because every other cafe in my experience in this area is expensive to the point of a scam and average food.
